In Latin America and the Caribbean, training has characteristic and original traits that differentiate it from what can exist in other regions of the world. This is evident both in its history and in the present of its institutional geography, as well as in the concepts and links it has with other spheres of the social and economic life of the countries of the region. There have been original conceptual advances in this field, that have led to the current understanding and practice of training as a labour, technological and educational occurrence.
